Nearly all events in 2020 were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, including the iconic Champlain Valley Fair.  During this time we are reminded of the critical role CVE plays in the community. Since the start of the pandemic, CVE has provided space for COVID testing, a surge hospital, food giveaways, high school graduations, and first responder training.

Unfortunately, the pandemic has had a devastating impact on the finances of the Champlain Valley Exposition. We’re experiencing the same struggles so many organizations across the globe are and have taken measures to protect our future. We’ve delayed work on critical capital projects, furloughed a majority of our staff, and we are reassessing willingness to take on risk.

There is no guarantee the 2021 Fair can happen. Our priority is the safety of fairgoers, staff, and volunteers. We need to make sure we can provide an experience fairgoers are accustomed to, but in a safe manner that follows guidance as it relates to COVID-19.

We will get through this but we need your help. Please donate to help protect the future of the Champlain Valley Exposition. As a non-profit, 501(c) 3 organization, your charitable gift to CVE is tax deductible.

No one can say for certain what the near future will look like, or even how CVE will be operating in 2021. When large gatherings can occur again, look to the Champlain Valley Exposition as the epicenter of entertainment, culture, agriculture, and economic activity. Make no mistake. The Champlain Valley Exposition remains a true community partner and remain a pillar for the region and the State of Vermont.
